NZ Fruits is a well-established, long standing and successful post-harvest business located in Gisborne.
This new role will play an integral part in cool store monitoring and the supply and distribution of produce, reports to the Managing Director and will work very closely with the Production Manager.
The key objective is to oversee and lead distribution channels and cool store operations. As a suitable candidate you will need to be practical and pragmatic in your leadership, have a track record of meeting customer expectations, achieving safety, quality assurance and compliance goals while managing the logistics of packing and transporting.
The environment can be high pressure, particularly during peak season (March to June) so your ability to be resilient, accurate, and plan ahead while making effective decisions is critical. We need you to be a progressive leader and a systematic thinker while having a level of motivation that is seen and role modelled to others.
A competitive remuneration package is offered, and hours of work are a minimum of 45 hours per week. Peak times would see additional hours needing to be worked so flexibility in this regard is essential.
