An exciting opportunity exists to join our Liveable Communities Hub. We are seeking a high performing individual to manage our Recreation and Amenity Facilities section and services. This team has transformed significantly over the last eighteen months, and have now established a fantastic platform from which they are excelling from.
You will be accountable for ensuring high levels of quality and performance are achieved across many of Council’s community facing activities, including: • Aquatic Facilities • Parks and Reserves • Playgrounds, Cemeteries • Sports Facilities • High Amenity Gardens • Public Conveniences • Community Townships
To be successful in this role you will need: • a passion for the recreation, horticulture and open space industries, and previous experience in these areas • tertiary qualification in relevant disciplines of parks and recreation management, and/or business management and leadership • strong and demonstrated skills in financial management, relationship management, contractor management, people management and project management • an understanding of local government processes, functions and legislation • ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
